I have had the fortune to visit the breathtaking city of Brugge on two different occasions. I spent the most memorable afternoon touring the city with my Father in Spring 2013 and shared one of the best meals of our lives at Den Dyver. Seated along a picturesque canal, we enjoyed thoughtfully tailored and obscenely fresh seafood prepared with elegant touches of flemish culinary influence.
I was disappointed upon my return this year to the city when I found out that the restaurant had changed hands and chose to eat elsewhere, in order to preserve the memories of our wonderful afternoon, untainted in my mind. However, There are a myriad of other charming restaurants around the canals of the city to suffice any appetite. It was during my second visit that I choose to take a boat tour through the canals, which was such a gorgeous way to experience the city! It was a brief but beautiful ride, complemented by the perfect september sunshine and great company. Something I would highly recommend in order to further appreciate "Venice of the North".
